Interview with Nutritionist Cathriona Hodgins

Hello my name is Cathriona Hodgins and I am a nutritional consultant qualified in Nutritional Therapy from the Irish Institute of Nutrition and Health. I am also a busy mum of two girls so aware of trying to balance a good diet with the stresses of modern living.

As a parent I value my health and my families health and understand how busy life can be and how hard it is to fit it all in. Something has got to slip and too often that can be our diet. Skipping breakfast, a quick fix of coffee and a scone, skipping lunch, overeating at dinner, snacking at night can be a recipe for poor health, low energy and weight gain.

My background is in pharmaceuticals with a science degree, I have worked in drug development, logistics and operations. I was always interested in food and nutrition and when I got the opportunity to study part time I took it and loved it. I am running my own business for 5 years now and the common theme I see among clients is stress and poor energy. Tired all the time is a common phase I hear on a weekly basis.

In 2014 I became the Nutrition adviser to Sasta fitness I helped redesign their eating plan which is based on the low GL approach to eating. Sasta fitness is a great way to lose weight and achieve your weight loss goal.
